Stacie is in the top 2% of her class with a 4.1 grade point average.  She is a member of the Spanish, Social Studies and National Honor Societies, serving as the vice president of two of those organizations.  She is a celebrated athlete who has been a member of two basketball state championship teams and one tennis state championship.  She has also captained the varsity volleyball team and varsity track team where she holds three school records.  She has been named her District’s Tennis Player of the Year the last two seasons.  Stacie’s community service activities include: Ruriteen Club, Relay for Life, FFA and the Page Valley Community Tennis Association.   Stacie states, “Helping others is a passion of mine. I would lie to pursue a career dealing with sports medicine and this award will help me do that.  Sports have taught me countless lessons that I should know for life, but the most important lesson is how to take everything I have and give back to others.  Everything I learn, skills or lessons in sports, I enjoy teaching to the young kids in my community.”  ERHS principal, Eric Baylor, states: “She is a natural born leader both on and off the court.  She is driven, motivated, and competitive in everything she pursues.  Stacie has it all.  She is an exceptional student, a young lady well respected and admired by her peers, her teachers and the community at large.”

Michele Rosengarth‘s art students at East Rockingham High School have been working on four large mosaics, one each for the letters “E”, “R”, “H”, and “S” to represent their high school. Haley McGraw (left) and Katie Ellen share their favorite of the four, the “R” that highlights the arts. Haley and Katie will both pursue art degrees as they move on to college next year. ERHS-art letters
