We had a great time at the Think Pink Finale Assembly on Monday afternoon. Our LEES students raised enough money that Mr. Tusing, Ms. Duckworth, Mr. Reger, Mr. Markham, and Ms. Thomsen all had to kiss the pig! A great big thank you goes out to all who helped make Think Pink Week such a huge success again this year. You can check out the updated newsletter for pictures, reminders, and important dates. I hope everyone gets outside to enjoy the warm weather!

We had a great Think Pink Week which we wrapped up today with a student mini-relay during PE time. Students were able to walk the track and add beads to their lap counting necklaces. They also got to jump in the bounce house and enjoy a yummy popsicle. We hope that you can all join us for more Mini-Relay fun and our Cornhole Tournament tonight from 6-8 here at LEES. Check out the updated newsletter for more information and reminders.

First graders had a blast on our field trip yesterday to Luray Zoo and Luray Caverns. It was a great trip with beautiful weather and we learned a lot of really cool facts about the animals at the zoo and about the caverns. Just a quick reminder that TONIGHT is the first grade performance at Barnes and Noble at 6:30. Come on out even if you haven’t returned the slip letting us know you were going to participate. Mr. Tusing would love to have a big turn out! Check out the updated newsletter for more information and reminders. Don’t forget about Think Pink week next week and our LEES Mini-Relay and Cornhole Tournament next Friday, April 27th at 6!

It has been a very busy week here in first grade. This week we designed and engineered leprechaun traps to see if we could catch a leprechaun. We also wrote the leprechauns a card to see if we could trick them into entering our traps. We are excited to see if we caught any leprechauns on Monday morning! Check out the updated newsletter for more information and reminders.
