2015 Virginia Summer Residential Governor’s Schools - Open to 10th and 11th Graders

The Summer Residential Governor’s Schools (SRGS) are month-long residential programs for current year tenth- and eleventh-grade students.

Students interested in applying must submit a letter of intent to Mrs. Liddle by Friday, November 21st.  Letters must have student name, date, parent signature, and student signature.  The specific program applying for should be listed.


The SRGS academic and mentorship programs provide intellectually challenging and enriching experiences Each college- based program provides a curriculum that integrates subject matter from various disciplines around its overall program theme. Each mentorship program provides challenging work experiences relevant to the mentorship site.

New? Welcome to Spotswood

If you are new to our attendance area and have a student who will be attending Spotswood High School in August, please call the Counseling office at 289-3101 to begin the enrollment process.  Appointments will be scheduled for the week of July 21-25 for new students who have not completed enrollment paperwork. This should be done prior to our fee dates in August.

Items to bring with you:
- Parent or Guardian Photo ID
- Proof of residency (current utility bill, lease or contract with parent/guardian name and 911 address)
- Birth certificate
- Custody Papers (if student does not reside with a natural parent)
- Immunizations signed by a doctor or nurse
