Failes Wins Youth In Philanthropy Award

bfailesBlazer alumni Katie Budd was one of several Blazer staff and patrons attending the recent event honoring SHS teacher Bob Failes. Her account of the event:

Bob Failes has recieved the Youth in Philanthropy Award. Over the last 11 years, Mr. Failes has facilitated philanthropic involvement for students through Spotwood High School’s Relay for Life Team, Blazing Trails for a Cure, raising a total of at least $55,000. As a leader for the team during my time at SHS, Mr. Failes taught me more than I could ever imagine about giving back and being part of a community. This award was well deserved. I am so proud!!
