The sixth grade will be traveling to Charlottesville on Tuesday, October 12 to see “STAR TREK LIVE”.  This should be a great learning experience.  Make sure you have turned  in your $8.75 and permission form.

This week we will be preparing for the Decimal Computation test on Friday.  Skills covered on the test are place value, comparing and ordering, rounding and estimating, and adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with decimals.

Take a glance of students discovering Euler’s Theorem and finding the area and perimeter of Michael Jordan’s hand.

Earn extra points by sharing a “Math Moment’ that you encountered outside of our classroom!

For example: Today I watched downhill skiing on the Olympics.  They used negative and positive numbers to show if a skier was ahead or behind in the race.
